Herb Phinazee

Herb Phinazee has been leading Crossroads Family Worship Center since February of 1990. He and his wife, Sandy, have been in the ministry for over 27 years. In that time they have learned much and brought a wealth of experience to Callahan. Through their leadership, the church has grown numerically and spiritually. They have led the church to establish new ministries and expand their property and facilities. Pastor Herb and Sandy made a commitment to God and to Callahan that has helped Crossroads Family Worship Center become a leading church on the north side of Jacksonville.

He is a die-hard fan of the Florida State Seminoles and loves to play golf. Herb is a devoted husband and the proud father of his beautiful daughter, Ashley.

 

Sandy Phinazee
Church Ministries Pastor

Throughout her twenty years of serving in the local church, Sandy has found one of the most vital areas of ministry is with women. For Sandy, it has become her greatest passion and her heartbeat to serve in this ministry. Sandy dreams of building unity in the body of Christ, and with her real-life, transparent approach her ministry has been marked by the breaking down of racial and denominational barriers. God has gifted Sandy to communicate His word and effectively minister to women of all ages and from all walks of life. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, Sandy has been a blessing to hundreds of women and continues to grow in fervor as the Lord leads her in her vision for women's ministry.
As the Senior Pastors since 1990, the Phinazees have taken Crossroads Family Worship Center in Callahan, FL to new levels through teaching the importance of intercession and leadership training. She currently serves as the Church Ministries Pastor at Crossroads and leads many ministry departments while assisting her husband pastor the congregation. Sandy is also an author, conference speaker, and founder of the Inspire Conference.

Sandy loves to get cozy to read a good book, go to the beach, and very much enjoys spending time with her daughter. Sandy's most treasured gift is being a devoted wife and loving mother to their daughter, Ashley.

 

 

Pastor Sherman and Katelyn have recently joined Crossroads Family Worship Center as our youth pastors. They were married August 1, 2009.

 

 

 

Shane is 24 years old and pastors the College & Young Adults (ages 18-30). "I have a desire to see my generation living for something more than this world has to offer. I am young and full of life and I believe you can whole heartily pursue God and not be a stick in the mud. Christians in my opinion have more fun than anybody else. I would love for you to be a part of The Wake service every Thursday night at 7:30. I dare you to live for something more."

Shane recently married the girl of his dreams, Charity. He enjoys sports, being outdoors, working out, building things out of metal and bronze. He is very much a meat eater, believes that there will be a Sonny's BBQ in heaven and has a love for Sour Patch Kids.

 

 

Debbie was born and raised in Oregon. She attended Bible College for five years and then was led to short term missions in Paraguay for a year and a half. She began working here as the K3 preschool teacher at Sonshine Christian Academy and became the bookkeeper for the church in July of 2003.

Her family is her life. She has been married to the man of her dreams, Brian, since 1990 and has two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Michaela. She enjoys playing games and cards with her family and watching her girls swim and play basketball. Debbie has a passion for people; making them feel loved and appreciated. She lives a lifestyle of evangelism - "One more for the Kingdom".

Mindy grew up in Upstate New York and moved to Florida when she was 11. She began dating her husband when she was 15, and has been in love with him for almost 16 years. She has four amazing daughters, Brittany, Destyni, Alexis, and Peyton. Her heart's passion is to be used by God to be a living, breathing testimony of God's forgiveness, grace, mercy and unconditional love to our youth, for God to take her "life song" and use it to glorify His name. Besides her family, praise and worship and youth are her passions! She spends her time singing in the adult choir, directing Ignited Youth vocal Group, and being a youth sponsor at her church.
